The title of the painting was given to it because of the process of its creation. Initially, it looked like a black-and-white image created with ink, which is extremely expressive in itself. However, the artist's decision to add golden shades of pearlescent watercolour gave the picture a golden shimmer. The artist felt that there was not enough expression, so for emphasis, he added a stroke of red acrylic, which created an impressive effect.
The main object of the painting is a female portrait. However, this is not a typical female face that we are used to seeing in images. The facial features are expressive, masculine and strong-willed, not soft and gentle. This woman exudes strength, determination and self-confidence. At the same time, the presence of lotus flowers adds femininity and elegance to the composition, reminding us that strength is not necessarily associated with rudeness.
Drips and splashes in the background add depth and dynamics to the painting, creating a sense of movement and energy. They can indicate a difficult path of life, full of trials and obstacles, but the ability to transform these difficulties into beauty and mastery.
